Rouge Dior, the House's couture lipstick, is presented in an entirely golden limited-edition case for the holidays. The bullet of the lipstick is intricately engraved with a couture band unfurling a regally styled motif designed by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo.
To accompany this radiant limited edition, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, has fitted Rouge Dior with a wardrobe of 3 shades: from coral and deep purple to rosewood, in a satin or velvet finish depending on the shade. The 999 red in the velvet finish also features the limited-edition motif and is housed in the golden case.
A Dior makeup essential, Rouge Dior delivers 12 hours* of true color and 24 hours** of comfort for an even, longwearing result with optimal coverage. Lips are smooth, soft and enhanced by a radiant couture color.

Peony is the iconic ingredient of Rouge Dior formulas. Its extract delivers dual action: hydrating lips and improving skin quality. Lips are radiant and the Rouge Dior shades are enhanced.
The action of the peony extract is complemented by pomegranate flower extract, which brings suppleness and softness to lips. Lips are softer and plump-looking, fine lines and grooves appear smoothed.
Shea butter complements the floral extracts’ protective action and offers intense comfort and nourishment. Lips are smooth, guaranteeing an even application of the lipstick.
Three shades developed in a limited edition:
- 994 Masquerade satin finish: a satiny deep plum red;
- 374 Royal Coral satin finish: a satiny soft coral pink;
- 284 Rose Bavarde velvet finish: a matte rosewood.
The iconic Dior red 999 in a velvet finish also features the limited-edition engraving.
- Apply the Rouge Dior balm as a hydrating base. Use a tissue to remove any excess product before applying makeup to the lips.
- Line the lips with Rouge Dior Contour.
- For intense and even color, apply Rouge Dior from the center of the lips outwards.
